PETALING JAYA:One-third of the latest semidee condo offering at Opal Damansara has been taken up. Opal Damansara's Block B consists of 124 units and 37 units were snapped up during a soft launch last month.

The project comprises two blocks with 124 units each. Block A was launched last year and to date, 80% has been sold.

For the latest units, there are three types -- standard, duplex and penthouse, with 14 designs. Most of the units come with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. However, units with designs B and D have only three bedrooms.

The built-ups range from 1,140 sq ft to 3,605 sq ft with prices starting from RM309,000. The most expensive penthouse unit costs RM615,000.

A monthly fee of 18 sen psf will be charged for maintenance and upkeep. The gross development value of the project is RM100 million.

A project by Sunway Damansara Sdn Bhd, which is a subsidiary of Sunway City Bhd, Opal Damansara is targeted to be completed by December 2007. It is a low-density development covering 4.13 acres of leasehold land, with 60 units per acre.

Serena Cheah, sales and marketing general manager of Sunway City, says, "The semidee concept where every unit in Opal Damansara is a corner unit has proven to be popular. We have also ensured that residents are able to enjoy an enviable ambiance within the project by allocating 30% of the development for landscaping.

"As in all Sunway City developments, purchasers are assured of quality finishes plus a wide array of value-added features. We endeavour to give purchasers good value for their investment."

Located within Sunway Damansara, Opal Damansara is being promoted as "living in a semidee in the sky". Among the facilities are a reading room, swimming and wading pools, gym, surau, gazebo, playground, tennis and badminton courts. Each unit will have two car parking bays. The project is located close to golf courses, shopping complexes, colleges and schools. Access to the project is via New Klang Valley Expressway, Sprint Highway and LDP.
