Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) started in 1995 as an addition to the faculty’s existing programs at that time. It replaces the existing Bachelor of Agribusiness program which was offered since 1974. The aim of this program is to produce graduates with skills and knowledge in business management in order to fulfill the demand in the industry and services sectors. The graduates are trained to be proactive, to think critically, to be competitive and to adopt working culture required in businesses.

Employment Opportunities

Students with this qualification are able to:

  • Work in the private sector as executives in the field of marketing, finance, human resource, etc. both in local and international organizations in various industries such as banking, property, production, trades, telecommunications, etc.
  • Work in the public sector as part of the management in government and statutory bodies.
  • Perform as a reliable entrepreneur.

Curriculum Component

The program curriculum of Bachelor of Business Administration is divided into two (2) main components: core courses and specialization courses.

The core courses component are a combination of the University’s courses (known as foundation courses), and a variety of courses in accounting, economics, management, behavior science, skills and quantitative technique, statistics, ethics, commercial law, interpersonal skills, and communication. The compulsory core courses expose students to the basic concepts, principles and methods which support the program objectives.

The specialization component is divided into two (2) parts: Core specialization courses (consisting 27 credit hours), elective specialization courses (consisting 15 credit hours). These courses are specific to the respective areas in management and business as to fulfill the different requirements in the business arena.

Bachelor of Business Administration offers eight (8) area of specialization. Each student is required to take 42 credit hours of specialization in one of the following areas:

  • Hospitality and Recreation Management
