International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Gombak Campus

The Kuala Lumpur Campus, covering 700 acres, is nestled in a valley in the rustic district of Gombak, a suburb of the capital city. It’s elegant Islamic-style buildings are surrounded by green-forested limestone hills, and this is one reason why the district attracts avid photographers from among both local citizens and tourists. One visit to the campus is enough to convince anyone that IIUM is indeed a Garden of Knowledge and Virtue.

This campus houses all the facilities that a modern community is worthy of. To give just a partial list, there is a mosque that can accommodate thousands, two state-of-the-art sports complexes with Olympic-size swimming pools, a fully equipped library, a 24-hour medical clinic, a well-staffed child-minding centre, banks, post offices, restaurants, bookshops and grocery stores. A fibre-optic backbone runs through the entire campus, facilitating instant communication from one far-flung corner to another.

Accessibility to Kuala Lumpur is made easy not only by efficient bus and taxi services, but also the close proximity to the campus of a light rail station.
