E5-Lebuhraya Shah Alam/KESAS Highway (Shah Alam Expressway)

Lebuhraya Shah Alam/KESAS Highway, E5 (Shah Alam Highway) is an express highway connecting the town of Pandamaran, Klang and Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. Shah Alam Expressway connects West and East. Built to reduce congestion at the Federal Highway, Shah Alam Highway is the third east-west highway in the Klang Valley area after the Federal Highway and New Klang Valley Expressway. Highways are equipped with bike lanes for the safety of motorcyclists.

The Lebuh Raya Shah Alam/KESAS Highway serves as a major inter-urban expressway connecting the major industrial and residential areas within the Klang Valley namely, Kuala Lumpur, Cheras, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam and Klang, terminating at the access road to Westport.

Lebuhraya Shah Alam/KESAS Highway (Shah Alam Highway) is managed by Konsortium Expressway Shah Alam Selangor Sdn. Bhd. The Shah Alam Expressway was built during 1995 and 1997. The highway was officially opened in 1997. The total length of Shah Alam Expressway is 34.5 kilometres and it has 4 tolls.

During the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, this highway is the main route into the National Stadium Bukit Jalil.
