Sunway Lagoon theme park was officially opened on April 29, 1993 by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Sunway Lagoon theme park is strategically located in the township of Bandar Sunway in Petaling Jaya. Spanning 80 acres, the Lagoon draws fun seekers from all over with its reputation as a fascinating land of fun and excitement.

Sunway Lagoon is separated into 3 major themed lands, each boasting their own exciting attractions. You will find entertainment, adventure and excitement all in place. Sunway Lagoon, being part of Malaysia’s first fully-integrated themed resort – Sunway Lagoon Resort, offers visitors the conveniece of a 5-star hotel, a grand shopping mall right next door and other ultra-modern facilities.

Sunway Lagoon Theme Park Attractions

Water Park
It has an African-themed Water Park and World’s Largest Man-Made Surf Beach, backed by the World’s Largest Wave Churning Machine – Capable to churn out perfectly shaped waves up to the maximum height of 8 feet!

Amusement Park
Consists of Wild Wild West and World Of Adventure. For Wild Wild West, you can experience Buffalo Bill Coaster, the Chief Crazy Horse Carousel or follow in the steps at Butch Cassidy’s Trail, Niagara Falls Flume Ride and Colorado Splash. In World Of Adventure, you can walk on the world’s longest Pedestrian Suspension Bridge, measuring 428m in length. You can experience Wagon Wheel, roller coaster at the Lost City of Gold, Apache Pots, Tomahawk, Pirate’s Revenge, Tiger Adventure and take a walk through The Cave.

Extreme Park
For adventure seekers, you can experience All Terrain Vehicle (ATV), Go-Kart, Paintball 3×3, Paintball Shooting Range, vertical Wall Climb, Flying Fox, Power Jump Bungee Trampoline, Kayak, Paddle Boat and Swan Ride. Try G-Force X where you will be catapulted up to 120 km per hour, in 2 SECONDS rising to the height of 65 metres! That is pulling 5G’s – more than a MIG 25 Jet Aeroplane!

Wildlife Park
Take a step on the wild side at Malaysia’s first fully interactive animal themed attraction. Come face-to-face with Civets, Binturongs, Hornbills, Kites, Eagles, Gibbons, Pythons, Peacocks, Pheasants, Squirrel Monkeys, Macaws, Cockatoos and other domestic animals.

Scream Park
Not for the faint hearted. Scream Park sends the chills down your spine with heart pounding audio, hidden special effects, smoke, mirrors and scare chambers.

Sunway Lagoon Theme Park Facilities

At Sunway Lagoon, you will find a host of added facilities and amenities to enhance your enjoyment. Information counters are located in all three parks to help you make your way around. Swimming apparel, toiletries and other necessities are available at various retail shops. Special lockers are made available so you can have fun without the hassle or worry over the safekeeping of your belongings. Sunway Lagoon has ample of facilities available in the Waters of Africa, World of Adventure, and Wild Wild West for the convenience of visitors. Some of the facilities available are:

  • 5 Group function areas.
  • Ample coin lockers.
  • 3 Guest Services counters / Lost and found counter.
  • 2 Muslim Prayer Rooms [Surau] – for men & women.

Additional RM 10 deposit is chargeable for every entry and will be refunded upon return of wristband tag on the same day before 7pm. Wristbands not returned upon exit will be charged RM 50.

FREE admission for children below 3 years old AND below 90cm in height.

Child: From 3 years to below 11 years.
Senior Citizen: From 60 years and above.

Sunway Lagoon Waterpark Dress Code

Rules:
1. Outside food & drinks, and cigarettes are strictly prohibited
2. Follow the lifeguards’ instructions at all times.
3. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times

Kindly adhere to the dress code as follows:

Allowed in Waterpark
Swimming Suit, Aerobic Suit, Body Suit, Short or long tights, T-Shirts.

Not Allowed in Pools & Slides
Babies must wear swimsuit(no diapers allowed), Underwear, Snorkel, Mask & Flippers, Body board & surf board, Saree, Jubah, Baju Kebaya or baju kurung, Jackets/Long pants jeans (long or short), Socks, stockings, slippers & shoes, Shorts with button & zip, Track bottom, Glasses, Watches & Jewelry.

How To Go To Sunway Lagoon Theme Park

Sunway Lagoon Theme Park is located in the booming township of Bandar Sunway in Petaling Jaya. It is accessible via a network of expressways (Federal Highway, Damansara-Puchong Expressway, New Pantai Express Way and KESAS Highway) and is a mere 15-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur.

Conveniently, there is ample parking space and multiple options at public transportation. Taxi and bus services are aplenty. KTM Komuter trains stop at Subang Jaya Station, while Putra-LRT stops at the Kelana Jaya station. From there, just catch a feeder bus to the Sunway Pyramid stop.
