Australian International School Malaysia

The Australian International School Malaysia is the first and only International School in Malaysia offering an Australian Curriculum and the education is delivered by Australian teachers. The school follows the Australian school year. Students at AISM come from countries around the world. For non-English speaking background students, ESL support programmes helps to improve their English and to be able to gain full benefit of their lessons.

Great emphasis is placed on the learning that comes with interaction during extra-curricular activities after school on two afternoons per week. AISM students are also encouraged to participate in community programmes. Community spirit is further developed through the House system, named after four young Australian Athletes —Thorpe, Rafter, Freeman and Sauvage.

AISM is the first and only International school in Malaysia with a 100% Australian Primary and Secondary curriculum. The students, from Preparation (age 3) to Year 12 (age 18), have the advantage of accessing a flexible style of learning which encourages the development of investigative techniques and the application of skills. The majority of staff are highly experienced and well qualified Australian teachers who create the culture and standards of the learning environment.

The school is recognized by the NSW Board of Studies and offers a rigorous academic program leading to the School Certificate (SC) at Year 10 and the Higher School Certificate (HSC) at Year 12 matriculation, which meets the entry standards for some of the most prestigious universities around the world. The school follows the Australian school calendar making it easy for transfers to and from any school in Australia.
