Beaconhouse Sri Inai Primary and Secondary School, Petaling Jaya
Beaconhouse School System opened its first school in South East Asia in 2004. Today, Beaconhouse has 11 schools and 2000 students in Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand.
Beaconhouse owns and operates eight schools in Malaysia, of which seven are pre-schools in the Klang Valley, which comprises Kuala Lumpur and its suburbs. The eight, Sekolah Sri Inai, is a school on 2.5 acres of prime property near downtown Kuala Lumpur.
Beaconhouse aims to provide quality education of an international standard. They aim for excellence through quality management, quality training, and quality teaching. By doing so they hope to benefit our students, their communities, and the wider world.
Curriculum
The Malaysian National Curriculum is a comprehensive educational programme that uses the curriculum and required co-curricular activities to develop knowledge, skills, norms, values, cultural elements and beliefs within pupils. Students study in the local language and English, and the curriculum stretches from First Grade to the University level.
Primary School Education
Beaconhouse incorporates the KBSR national curriculum into its teachings. The KBSR curriculum prepares students for the UPSR examination. The primary medium of instruction is Bahasa Melayu but closely supported by English. Mathematics, Science, and Information Technology are taught in English from Standard One to Standard Six.
Secondary School Level
Lower Secondary School Level
Beaconhouse incorporates the KBSM curriculum into its teachings. The KBSM prepares students for the PMR examination which is conducted by the Examination Syndicate (Lembaga Peperiksaan). The medium of instruction is primarily Bahasa Melayu with Mathematics, Science and Information Technology being taught in English at all levels.
Upper Secondary School Level
Beaconhouse incorporates the KBSM curriculum which prepares students for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination which is conducted by the Examination syndicate (Lembaga Peperiksaan). The medium of instruction is primarily Bahasa Melayu with Mathematics and Science-based subjects and Information and Communication Technology being taught in English at all levels.
Co-curricular Activities
Beaconhouse focuses on the development of its students’ different skills and talents. In addition to the curriculum, the school offers a wide range of co-curricular activities:
