Dewan Philharmonic PETRONAS is the first purpose built concert hall for classical music in Malaysia. Officially opened on 17 August 1998, Dewan Philharmonic PETRONAS (DFP) is the home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO). Since opening DFP also presents international jazz performances as well as traditional Malaysian music and dance productions. Through its wide variety of musical presentations, DFP provides significant cultural enrichment opportunities for all Malaysians.

Dress Code

Gala and Evening Concerts: Long-sleeved batik or Lounge suit.
Sunday Matinées & Other Performances: Smart Casual.
No jeans, shorts, T-shirts, sneakers and slippers allowed at any time.
If inappropriately dressed, ticket holders shall be denied admission and no refunds will be given.

Late Comers

Concerts at Dewan Philharmonic PETRONAS begins promptly as the advertised starting time. No latecomers will be admitted until the interval or a suitable break in the programme. Members of the audience who leave the hall
before or during a piece of music will not be re-admitted until the next suitable break. Latecomers to Family Fun Days concerts will not be admitted as these concerts are only one-hour long with no suitable breaks. As a courtesy to the performers and other audience members, you are adviced to remain in your seat until the concert has ended.

Mobile Communications

All concert-goers are requested to switch off their mobile phones, pagers and watch alarms and other electronic devices such as Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) before they enter the auditorium. This is to ensure an ideal concert
experience for both the performers and other members of the audience. 

Recording Devices

All forms of recording equipment and photography are strictly prohibited in the concert hall. Co-operation and understanding of all audience members in observing this policy are appreciated.

No Smoking Policy

In keeping with government regulations, all concert-goers are reminded that smoking is strictly prohibited in the concert hall.

Putra LRT (Rapid KL Kelana Jaya Line – KLCC Station)
One of the convenient ways to get to Dewan Philharmonic PETRONAS is through Putra LRT (Rapid KL Kelana Jaya Line – KLCC Station). It’s about 5 minutes walking distance through the tunnel from the train platform.

By Bus

You may also opt for Rapid KL bus no B105 from Mid Valley Shopping Complex or KL Central Station which heads to KLCC and vice versa. *Bus no provided based on Rapid KL website: www.rapidkl.com.my as of 21st April 2009.
