Border Pass (Malaysia – Indonesia) – Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia

Border Pass (Malaysia – Indonesia) is issued to Malaysian Citizens residing for six (6) months and above in the Administrative District of Pensiangan, Tenom, Sipitang and Tawau in the State of Sabah and Lundu, Bau, Kuching, Serian, Simanggang and Lubok Antu in the state of Sarawak.

Validity of Border Pass (Malaysia – Indonesia)

One (1) year from the date of issue and valid for multiple journeys. Permission will be granted to stay in Indonesia 30 days for each entry.

Conditions for Border Pass (Malaysia – Indonesia)

  • Form (Imm.42-pin 1/97)
  • Two (2) photographs of the applicant measuring 3.5 cm x 5.0 cm
  • Children below 12 years of age cannot be issued with a separate document

Conditions for Applicant

12 years and above:

  • Two (2) photographs of the application measuring 3.5 cm x 5.0 cm
  • Identification card (Mykad)

Below 12 years:

  • Two (2) photographs of the application measuring 3.5 cm x 5.0 cm
  • Birth Certificate
