Free Flow Facility – Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia

Commencing 5th December 2008, the Malaysian Government has introduced and implemented free flow facility at Wang Kelian, Perlis – Wang Prachan, Satun Thailand.

Procedure for exit/entry of free flow facility

  • Nationals of Malaysia are allowed to exit/enter without furnishing travel document through the Wang Kelian, Perlis Immigration Control Post for purposes of visiting the Pekan Sehari Wang Prachan, Satun Thailand only. However, nationals of Malaysia are required to produce the Malaysian Identification Card (MyKad) as an identification document during Malaysian Immigration clearance.
  • Nationals of Thailand are allowed to enter without furnishing travel document through the Wang Kelian, Perlis Immigration Control Post for purpose of visiting the Pekan Sehari Arcade at Wang Kelian, Perlis only.

Free flow zone

  • Nationals of Malaysia and Thailand are only allowed to enter/exit without furnishing travel document within the restricted free flow area as follows:
  • Nationals of Thailand are limited for free flow facility until the Second Immigration Control Post that is located one (1) kilometer radius from the Main Immigration Control Post.
  • Nationals of Malaysia are limited for free flow facility until the Pasar Sehari Wang Prachan, Satun Thailand only.

Entry/exit hours for free flow

  • The entry/exit hours for the free flow facility at Wang Kelian for nationals of Malaysia and Thailand shall be between 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily.
  • Nationals of Malaysia and Thailand who are entering using the free flow facility must exit on the very same day.
