Mersing town at East Coast of Johor Darul Takzim

Mersing is located at East Coast of Johor Darul Takzim and it’s a popular destination amongst local and foreign tourist. The white sand beaches and clear water offers tourist a breathtaking holiday.

Johor is famous for its lowland rainforest and a remote destination which attracts adventurous explorers whom dream of nature experience. Lowland rainforest has been gazette as Johor State’s National Park. The surrounding 20 islands in South China Sea of Johor have also been gazette as Marine Parks.

Mersing town itself is profound for leisure, relaxing activities and not forgetting recreational. At the centre of the town is a hill known as Bukit Cantik. Masjid Jamek Mersing (Mersing Mosque) sits on top of Bukit Cantik and it’s the most recognizable landmark in Mersing.

How to go to Mersing?

If coming from North or Kuala Lumpur
Take PLUS North-South Highway heading south towards Johor. Take the Ayer Hitam exit (Exit 244) and you will pass the toll gate. You’ll reach a traffic junction, take a right turn and head towards Kluang. Before reaching Kluang town, you’ll reach a roundaout where you have to take 3 o’clock turn. Go straight for a few kilometres and you’ll reach another roundabout where you have to take 12 o’clock turn. From here just follow the road sign leading to Mersing.

If coming from Johor Bahru or Singapore
Use the Woodlands causeway to cross over to Malaysia and then take the first U-turn heading back to the causeway. Turn into Jalan Wong Ah Fook and this will bring you into Johor Bahru city. You will pass City Square shopping mall on your right. Look out for and overhead bridge with the sign ‘Kota Tinggi – Desaru’. This sign will lead you to Route 3. And Route 3 will lead you towards Kota Tinggi and Mersing as long as you follow the signs.

If coming from Terengganu or Kelantan
Use Route 3 which is the coastal road. Go south heading towards Johor Bahru. Follow the signs.
