PETRONAS Twin Towers Skybridge

PETRONAS Twin Towers Skybridge stands at the height of 452 metres above ground, while PETRONAS Twin Towers being the tallest twin towers in the world. PETRONAS Twin Towers Skybridge is also known as KLCC Bridge in informal manner.

Double-decked skybridge functions
To facilitate movement between the two towers and as an escape route in case of emergency.
Symbolised as a gateway to the future.
Supported by a “three-hinge arch” consisting of giant round bearings at the base and a pair of legs 51 metres in length located at level 29 of each tower. The cylindrical legs are bolted to a box girder below the centre of the double-decked bridge.

Milestones of the construction of PETRONAS Twin Towers
January 1992: Start of Project Planning
March 1993: Start of Foundation Works
April 1994: Construction of the Superstructure
July 1995: Lifting of Skybridge
January 1996: Fitting out of the interiors complete with furniture
March 1996: Jacking of the spires of Tower 1 and Tower 2
January 1997: Moving in the first batch of Petronas’ personnel

31st August 1999: Official opening by Malaysia’s 4th Prime Minister – Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad

Tuesday – Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Mondays: Closed

PETRONAS Twin Towers Skybridge Visit Entry Point
Tickets are distributed on a daily basis from 8.30am. Visitors are advised to be at PETRONAS Twin Towers Skybridge visit entry point early as the tickets are limited and are given out on a first come first serve basis.
*Phone and advance bookings are not entertained. 

How to get there

By Train

Putra LRT (Rapid KL Kelana Jaya Line – KLCC Station)
One of the fastest and convenient ways to get to PETRONAS Twin Towers Skybridge is through Putra LRT (Rapid KL Kelana Jaya Line – KLCC Station). It’s about 5 minutes walking distance through the tunnel from the train platform.

By Bus
You may also opt for Rapid KL bus no B105 from Mid Valley Shopping Complex or KL Sentral Station which heads to KLCC and vice versa.
