Tioman Island (known as Pulau Tioman in Malay language) is a small island in the state of Pahang off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The biggest attraction of this island is it’s natural beauty and golden sandy beaches. The island has about 12,000 hectares of lush tropical jungle which includes many streams and waterfalls. The sea around Tioman island is full of beautiful corals and a wide variety of marine life which includes two species of sea turtles.
Tioman island is a good holiday location and also suitable for outdoor adventure activities. It suits families with small children, adventure seekers, honeymooners, scuba divers and those who are looking for a time away from the city life.

Tioman island is located east coast of peninsular Malaysia just above the Pahang-Johor state borders.
Ferry or speedboats to Tioman island
There are speedboats and ferries services that runs from Mersing and Tanjung Gemok (located north of Mersing). Ferries which can accommodate 150 passengers takes around 3 hours to reach Tioman island. Speedboats which can accommodate 20 passengers only take around 2 hours to reach the island. For ferries, one way ticket is priced at RM 35 meanwhile for speedboats, one way ticket is RM 45.

Berjaya Air runs direct flight from Kuala Lumpur (Subang Airport) and Singapore (Seletar Airport) to the airport at Tekek village in Tioman island.
