Materials engineering entails the selection, processing, understanding, development and service performance of materials. It involves the knowledge of engineering in the process and development of materials.
The programme aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for the design, development, production and application of engineering materials. This is achieved through a comprehensive study of the relationships between the structure, processing and properties of materials.
