Bachelor of Languages and Linguistics (Arabic), University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur

This programme is a major in Arabic. Upon graduation, candidates will be conferred with Bachelor of Language and Linguistics degree.

With the increase of education, trade and industry, particularly with the Middle East and other Arabic speaking nations, there is a demand for skilled linguists in Arabic. The study of Arabic as a language as well as the understanding of how the language continues to evolve with modern times is of great importance, particularly in a time where Arabic is viewed with increasing global scrutiny. Arabic is also one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

The Bachelor of Language and Linguistics (Arabic) programme is a 3-year degree programme. At the end of their study, candidates will be conferred the degree Bachelor of Languages and Linguistics.
