Bioinformatics is a cutting edge convergence of two rapidly changing areas of science and technology – biotechnology (genetics, molecular biology and biochemistry) and information technology. Modern approaches to biological and medical research have created many new opportunities for biologists and computer scientists. Be it creating new computing systems, or discovering the cure for cancer, the need for people with bioinformatics knowledge and skills has never been greater.

This programme is a major in Bioinformatics. Upon graduation, candidates will be conferred with Bachelor of Science degree.
