Multimedia designers specialise in work that is finished in a digital form, i.e. on the computer screen or projected on a fixed screen or surface. Multimedia designers use their visual communication expertise to produce web pages/sites and interactive presentations on CD-ROMs.
There are some that like working on videos, animation and interactive games. New digital technologies have opened up many possibilities for the work that multimedia designers produce and the Internet is an environment that is constantly evolving, challenging multimedia designers to come up with more engaging and pioneering work for the medium. In addition, multimedia designers also work with sound, music and special effects to make their work more interesting.
Our Diploma in Multimedia Design aims to build a strong foundation for design study at the initial stage, then by emphasising on professional development and open-ended design problems. Students will learn to put in context their ideas and explorations in relations to the work of ground–breaking designers, and be inspired to push back the boundaries of their disciplines.
