This degree course offers an excellent avenue for the student who prefers to have a multi-disciplinary approach to his studies. This degree offers up to a year’s advanced standing to non-IT diploma holders from other disciplines, such as Business/Management, Hospitality, Communication, Science and Engineering.

The graduate of this course is envisaged to be accomplished in the requirements of IT design and development strategies which involve Java and C programming skills as well as requisite knowledge of database and data communication networking fundamentals. Coupled with knowledge obtained from the particular non-IT discipline, this graduate will be well armed to face the business constraints and technological challenges facing most organisations today.

Entry Level & Entry Requirements

  • Taylor’s Foundation in Computing – Average of 50%; 60% in Mathematics 1 and Mathematics 2
  • ‘A’ Levels – 3 principal passes; D in Mathematics
  • SAM – Achievement score of 60%; score of 11 in Mathematics
  • CPU – Average of 60%; score of 60% in Mathematics
  • IB – 28 points based on 6 subjects including 4 points in High Level Mathematics and 5 points in General / Business Mathematics
  • STPM – CGPA of 2.11 for 3 subjects, including C+ in Mathematics
  • UEC – 30 points based on 6 relevant subjects, including credits in English and Mathematics
  • Other qualifications – Other equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis

English Level Requirements

  • IELTS – Overall score of 6.5
  • TOEFL – Overall score of 600 (paper based); Overall score of 250 (computer-based)
  • Taylor’s Foundation in Computing – 60% in Technical English 1 and Technical English 2

Transfer Options

Students may complete their degree at Taylor’s or transfer into the Bachelor of Information Technology at RMIT University, Melbourne, upon completion of three semesters at Taylor’s.
