Interior Designers are professionals who enhance the function, aesthetics and quality of interior spaces to improve quality of life, increase productivity, provide a beautiful place and protect the health, safety and welfare of the public. These professionals are concerned with how different textures, furnishings, colours, lighting and space blend together to meet the needs of people using a building.
Our Diploma in Interior Design aims to provide an academic education and practical experience that will lead to professional qualifications in Interior Design. Through the programme, you will acquire insights and understanding of different approaches to design.
Emphasis is placed on developing graduates who are innovative and able to design interior spaces for a variety of buildings. You will be trained to formulate concepts of design that are functional, appropriate, artistic and creative with the use of drawings, 3D computer modelling and architecture modeling.

Entry Level & Entry Requirements
- SPM / ‘O’ Levels – Minimum 3 credits including a pass in Bahasa Melayu
- ‘A’ Levels – 1 principal pass, minimum grade E
- SAM / ICPU – Overall 50%
- STPM – Minimum 1 grade Cs
- Other qualifications – Students with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis

Duration: 3 Years
Upon completion of the Diploma in Interior Design, students will gain advanced standing into Year 3 of the Bachelor of Design (Interior Design) at Queensland University of Technology, Australia, or final year of the Bachelor of Design (Interior Design) at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.
