The Taylor’s Foundation in Computing (FIC) programme is specifically designed to meet the demands for capable professionals in the information technology arena.
This programme bridges the gap between theory and practise, and between academia and industry. A holistic approach has been adopted in developing this programme, which is based on innovation and industrial relevance. FIC graduates will have an excellent foundation for tertiary study in the field of computing.
Entry Level & Entry Requirements
- SPM / ‘O’ Levels – Minimum 5 credits including C6 in English, C6 in Additional Mathematics or B4 in Modern Mathematics
- Other qualifications – Other equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Intakes: January, March & July
Duration: 1 year
Upon completion of the FIC, students gain direct entry into the 3+0 RMIT Bachelor of Computer Science or Bachelor of Information Technology programmes at Taylor’s or Year One of the Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Software Engineering at RMIT University.
Students can also join Year One of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Multimedia Computing / Forensic Computing at the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol, England. Besides that, there are opportunities to transfer to other universities in Australia or the United Kingdom.
